Empowering Youth Workers for Inclusive and Intercultural Education

About the Project

The project Inclusive Work with Migrants and Refugees aims to strengthen the competences of youth workers across Europe in promoting social inclusion, tolerance, and intercultural understanding.

In cooperation with Erasmus+, the workshop gathers participants from Germany, Turkey, France, and Italy. It offers a creative and reflective environment to explore inclusive practices in youth work with migrants and refugees.

Through group sessions, cultural exchanges, and interactive workshops, participants will develop practical tools to promote diversity, equality, and participation in their communities.

Objectives

  • Strengthen intercultural and communication skills of youth workers
  • Promote inclusive practices and social cohesion
  • Reduce discrimination through empathy and active participation
  • Build a European network of inclusive youth professionals
  • Empower young migrants and refugees to become active community members

Participant

Participant Profile

The project will gather 28 youth workers (7 from each partner country: Germany, Turkey, France, and Italy).

Participants will include professionals, volunteers, and community leaders aged 18 and above, actively engaged in youth work, social work, or education.

Selection is based on commitment, openness, and motivation to implement inclusive methods in their local organizations.

Participation & Commitment

Participants are expected to fully engage in all project activities.
Attendance below 80% may result in non-reimbursement of travel costs.

Everyone will contribute to daily tasks such as meal setup or cleaning, in rotating groups, to foster teamwork and equality.

All activities will be filmed and photographed for documentation purposes. Please inform the organizers if you prefer not to appear in media content.

  • Day 1 – Arrival & Introduction

  • Day 2 – Intercultural Workshops

  • Day 3 – Inclusive Practice Labs

  • Day 4 – Cultural Evening & International Café

  • Day 5 – Evaluation & Closing Session

Cultural & Social Activities

Throughout the week, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Present your organization in a creative gallery

  • Share your culture at the Cultural Evening (through music, skits, or presentations)

  • Participate in the International Café, bringing your country’s food traditions
