About the price

In the diaspora communities of Bremen and Bremerhaven, fantastic people and organizations are committed to an ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable society. Health and education, poverty reduction, equality, and sustainable agriculture are just some of the issues they address in projects in Bremen or in countries of the Global South.

The aim of the Diaspora Prize is to recognize the commitment of these people and to raise awareness of their projects. Individuals (BIPOC) or migrant/diaspora organizations can apply with projects from a wide range of fields.

Award ceremony: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Theater Bremen.
